President's House

A 6-story brick and limestone building.

The 2005 renovation of the Columbia University's President's House was the first major renovation to this structure in over half a century. Interior work included the replacement of mechanical, air-conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, code-compliant egress stairs and building infrastructure, and new handicap-accessible amenities. In addition, the following landscaping work was completed to support the use of the space as an outdoor venue for events: the installation of fencing, exterior lighting, a decorative metal pergola, brick and flagstone paving, a drainage system and retaining walls.
