Joseph D. Jamail Lecture Hall in Pulitzer Hall

(Photo: Architect – LTL Architects; Michael Schissel, photographer) Large, white-walled lecture hall with rows of black plastic chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows. The custom ceiling is designed to accommodate acoustics.

Upgrades to the Joseph D. Jamail Lecture Hall in Pulitzer Hall included new, accessible doors, new wood flooring, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a custom acoustic ceiling. The project included other historic restoration elements, notably new, double-height arch windows consistent with the historic monumental windows. The room also includes specialized features such as automatic shades.

The project was completed in 2017.

Man in grey suit with glasses stands at podium facing an audience. Behind him is a projector screen. The room is lit with blue lights.
