A building-wide electrification project was completed in East Campus in 2019, converting from gas to electric. The project involved installation of new electrical risers and capacity to support the replacement of gas cooking appliances with electric stoves and ovens. Roof replacement on the high- and low-rise residences and replacement of mechanical piping and insulation in upper level residences were completed simultaneously to the gas to electric conversion.
