Butler Plaza and Lawn Restoration Project Completion

Student wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans walks up an access ramp. The ramp is made of brick pavers and has gold railings on either side.

Restoration of Butler Lawn and Butler Plaza, the area directly in front of Butler Library. The project included the replacement of steps and temporary metal ramps from the north, east and west approaches to the library’s main entrance with permanent, accessible entryways consistent with the campus's overall architecture and landscaping plan. Additional improvements included adding benches along the lawn’s perimeter to create a more open and welcoming space; adding technical infrastructure for outdoor Wi-Fi to be available on the popular South Lawns for the benefit of students and the community; and improvements to drainage solutions.

The project was completed in 2017.
